Get onto the bus

Well, Ive had it with the price of gas. Its almost $3 per gallon. Thats insane! Since work is about 60 miles away, it takes about 2.5 gallons of gas to get there, which means it costs about $7 each way to drive. THAT IS $14 A DAY!!! Who can seriously afford that? So anyway, I bought a bus pass this month for $50. I can ride UTA anywhere at anytime. So if I ride the bus 4 times, I have already saved $6 that month. Seems like a good deal to me. I have already ridden it 3 times this month.

Its actually quite entertaining to ride the bus. You get to meet some of the weirdest people. Seriously. Some guy got on at the airport, with no apparent direction, and just wanted to know if this bus would get him closer to Provo. So he got on, showed everyone his new RAZR phone and said how cheap it was for him to call his 3 girlfriends, one in Paris, one in Russia, and one in Texas. This guy was way overweight, and a definite weirdo. Then he told us how he doesnt do drugs anymore since the day he woke up in the hospital blah blah blah. Then he says his dad called him for the first time in 20 years. He said it was Gene Simmons. I had to look it up on the net to see who it was. He is from the band Kiss.

Anway, once the bus driver found out he wasnt gonna pay the fair, he had him get off at the next stop and said he needed to find another way to Provo.

And thats just on the first day. I still met the crazy-drunk-no-teeth-super-old lady. She was sure interesting. Also 2 women thought the entire bus needed to hear their conversation about their kids and their nannies. SERIOUSLY! What is wrong with people?

Anyway, I still enjoy it way more than driving alone listening to that weirdo Bob Lonsberry on AM570 in the morning. GAH, I hate that guy.

Pirates and Green Canyon

Pirates of the Carribean 2
Well, me and Amy went to see Pirates of the Carribean 2 while Ed and Sades watched our kids. We took Crystal with us cause we thought it would be ok for her.

Anyway, the movie itself was SUPER adventerous. Lots of cool monsters and big overdone fight scenes, but it was a little more violent than I was prepared for. I felt a little uncomfortable having Crystal there with us for alot of it. We let our kids watch the 1st one lots and lots, but I dont think we will do this with the 2nd one. Right at the beginning you get some scenes of some prisoners getting picked at by black birds while they scream. Pretty gross.

But it was a fun movie, and left LOTS AND LOTS open at the end, so they will probably do a 3rd one. And Captain Barbosa does return. And there is a scene after the credits, but I wont tell you what it is, only that I felt it was a total waste of time to wait for it since it didnt have anything to do with the plot of the movie really.

Green Canyon
So this weekend is my Grandma Galli's birthday, and she is having it celebrated in Green Canyon up in Idaho. At first we werent planning on going, but then as we were looking at what we could do for fun this summer, it crept back into our schedule and the more I thought about it, the more excited I got. So I called Dad and told him we were in.

We are going to leave Bailey with my mom though. So it will just be me and Amy and Rooker and Crystal. Talking today with Eddie, he said he thinks they will go to, so it could end up being really fun.

Green Canyon is a large campsite up in the mountains somewhere. They have a giant pool that they fill every day from a natural warm spring. I remember it being a total blast to go there. You just run around the campsite playing games, and going swimming about 3-4 times during the day. The kids are going to love it. Then we will have campfires at night and roast marshmallows and stuff. YUMMMMMM.

Also, the food is all provided anyway, and Dad is going to pay for our spot (and probably our gas), so I dont see any reason why we wouldnt go.

Blah, the more I think about it, the more excited I get. I am seriously pumped! We will be staying Fri and Sat night at the campground. Sun we will head to Rexburg to find a church to go to, then Sun night we will probably stay at Grandma Mortensen's home (my mom's mom).

Anyway, it should be a blast, I can barely wait. Im more excited to see how fun it will be for the kids than I am about anything else.
