They split our ward this last week. The Stake Presidency just kinda showed up and announced it. Most everyone on the west side of the railroad tracks is in the Stockton 2nd Ward. The new bishopric only found out last Thursday that the ward was being split and that they were the new leaders.
I was trying to comprehend how a bishopric puts together an entire ward in one week. They need Relief Society, Young Mens, Young Womens, Priesthood, Sunday School, Primary, Nursery, etc. Thats alot of people to call in one week! Our new church time is 11am-2pm next Sunday. So they have till then to get it all set up.
Everyone I have talked to is pretty excited about it. Change is always exciting, regardless of how messy it may be.
