Lady in the Water, Benchwarmers

I saw them both. They both stunk. Lady in the Water had a super weak plot. It was funny in parts, but that didnt make up for the weak story.

Benchwarmers was barely funny. All the parts were supposed to be funny were the parts where someone eats a booger, or farts on someones face, or you see some gay guys talking about wrestling.

Stupid.

I need another good movie to come out. Something with presence. Something that makes me ponder life after the movie is over.

New Perudo Rule

So I just read about a new rule to Perudo that we didnt know about.

If on your turn, you think that there are EXACTLY the number of dice in the game that the preceding player said, then you can call a "Jonti". Everyone then lifts their cups and if it is true, YOU GET A DIE! How awesome is that? If its false, you lose a die. You can however never go above the starting number of dice.

I think that rule is awesome. How many times are you stuck cause you no your gonna lose if you call or if you say 1 more? Plus this will make it even more devious to try and bluff things now.

I cant wait for the next time we play. I wanna see how that new rule plays out.

Camping and Fireworks

My fam and I went camping this last weekend. It was really nice. Dad let us borrow the big tent again and we went way up in the Grantsville Canyon, to the top where a campsite called Loop was. It was really pretty, lots of trees. The deer there must have been so used to the people, because they came right up to the campgrounds and would stare at you. Rooker kept saying he wanted to go talk to them, but they would run away if he got too close. It was pretty cool.

In the morning the tent was shaded, so we all slept in, it was really nice. It was soooo nice and cool up there, unlike down back at home where it was 107 degrees - BLUH! We packed up and came home.

Sunday after church we went out to Fruit Heights for dinner, games, and fireworks. It was really fun. We played alot of kickball and other games and Dance Dance Revolution. It was really fun. Then we started lighting fireworks when the sun started to go down. Joe had a billion crackle-bombs which the boys all threw at each other, it was pretty funny to watch us jump around when they exploded right by our feet. Bailey didnt like the bombs at all. She snuggled right up and jumped everytime the blasts would go off. She ended up in the house watching through the glass door.

We have soooo many games that we play as a family, I decided to write them all down so I wouldnt forget them. Ive started keeping track of them at Lymanite.net. There is a link at the top called "Lymanite Games". Ill keep adding as I remember more or as we make them up. You can also go into the game and click the "Printable" link so you can print out the instructions on your computer.

Now people wont have to call me all the time, and I wont have to rack my brain trying to remember how we played that.

Lymanite.net has kind of become a dump site for all the junk that I dont know what to do with. I dont store any video clips there though cause they take up too much space. So I stuck the games there for now, so I could refer to them later.

I added a new Dice Game called Sixes which looks pretty fun. I was just reading about it today. Next time we have a family get together, we will have to give it a try.

IVE HAD IT!

I have absolutely had it with Rooker pooping his pants. HAD IT! So 10 minutes ago, when I found out he had pooped his pants yet again, I began the same routine of asking WHY the heck he wont go in the toilet. He just gives the same old "ok" answers like always. Our little girl Bailey even goes in the toilet. But Rooker is taking FOREVER to figure it out.

So this time, I said "Well, if your not gonna poop in the toilet, youll just have to come outside so I can hose you off". I stripped him down and took him outside, dirty buns and all. Turned on the hose and made him stand still while I sprayed him down. It was obvious this wasnt as fun as having someone just wipe his bottom with wipes. He just kept jumping up and down yelling "its cold! its cold!"

I told him that from now on, everytime he doesnt poop in the toilet, I was going to have to hose him down with the cold water.

Who knows, maybe this tactic will work... maybe not.

Amy's Personal Website

So Amy asked me to make her her own personal website, and I had just finished my final version of MDBLite6. So I made her a website built on my MDBLite6 framework. And it is just beautiful. MDBLite6 has made it so easy for me to create a nice, smooth working website, Im just amazed. So amazed in fact, that I will be converting Shnee.com to it soon.

Its www.shmaumau.com

Im not sure she actually wants people to know about it, but everyone will eventually find out anyway, so I figured what the heck, Ill just blog it.

Its got the ability to make multiple blogs, unlike this site where its just one big blog. So on Amy's you can organize your blogs into categories. She can even make private blogs that only she can see.

Also I made her a Recipe Exchange piece so she can store her Recipes online. Also, anyone who she gives the Recipe Exchange password to, will be able to add/edit their own recipes as well. Recipes can even be commented on and printed out.

Anyway, now I am fully pumped to keep popping out more websites running on my MDBLite6.

Next one is Amy's mother's genealogy website. Ive done quite a bit on it already, and hope to have it done by end of this week or early next. I already made the forums and address book and a place for visitors to register. I just need to finish her Genealogy Library complete with documents, PAF/GEDCOM files, and a pictures section with thumbnails. All based on Family Line or Graveyard, or whatever. Its gonna be sweet.

Then I guess Shnee.com is next.

Mat Lyman Special

Ive been working on perfecting the Mat Lyman Special which I eat for dinner on most nights. It is soooo delicious, and much healthier than anything else I would eat.

Here is how it goes:

Cut some tomatoes into bite sized pieces.
Cut a green/red pepper into bit sized pieces.
Get 3-5 tiny baby dill pickles.
Get 3-4 pickled whole beets.
Get 5-8 green olives.
Cut 10-15 small bite sized slices of cucumber.

Put all that onto a plate. Pour cottage cheese over the top of everything. Then add salt and pepper. Then pour Catalina or Italian or Ranch dressing all over everything.

Then you just kinda pick away at everything with your fork. The combination of cottage cheese and anything on their is soooo delicious. I personally like Catalina dressing the most.

I always saw my dad eating it growing up, and snagging a bite here and there was always so good. Now I do it myself, and I love it!

Green Canyon

Green Canyon was simply awesome. We had alot of fun, and were ready to come home by the end of it all.

Friday afternoon we all took off from Fruit Heights. All meaning me, my fam, my Dad, Ed and Sades fam, Aunt Lisa's fam, Jacob Nielson and fam, Lacey and Eli Nielson, and Jeff and Angie Lyman. It was really fun. We made a short trip to fill up and then were on our way.

We arrived sometime in the later afternoon. We setup 6 HUGE tents for all those who showed up without tents (including us) and then we had a dinner prepared by Mike Lyman. It was these super nummy Cheese Wursts - holy crap they were good. Then it got late and we went to bed. We were pretty tired. I actually went back to town with E and Lacey to get some air matresses, which ended up being a really good decision. They were fairly comfortable, especially better then the hard ground beneath the tent.

Sat morning we got up and immediately went swimming. We just bought a day pass, and swam basically the whole day.

In case you didnt know, Green Canyon is a campground by a natural hot spring, which is used to fill a big swimming pool they have up there. It was really nice and warm. They also had a hot tub (which was super hot, the hottest tub I have ever had to sit in in my life. You could only sit in it for 5-10 mins, and then you were so hot, you had to get out.

Later that night we went on a hike, but the misquitoes ended up being so thick, we cut it short. We put on some Repellant before we headed out, but they just caked on our clothes, and bothered our ears to the point we couldnt take it.

We had dinner, swam till 10pm, then went to bed.

That next morning we all packed up. It took quite a bit of work to pack up that many families. Then my fam and Dad went to Grandma Mortensens to shower and attend her Sacrement Meeting at 1pm. After that we met the others and drove all around Sugar City where Dad grew up and went and saw Mesa Falls, which are some GIANT water falls. Rooker and Crystal loved it.

Later that evening we returned to Grandmas and went to swim in Uncle Jaces pond. He lives next door and dug a big pond in his field. In the middle is a big floating tramp and slide. It was really fun, me and Crystal and Rooker had a blast. We also got to meet Trevor and Lydia and their kid Cole, so that was good.

The next morning we went back to Fruit Heights, where Bailey was waiting for us since we left her there. Grandma had bought her a REALLY CUTE outfit that she was wearing. She was soo darn cute, I just had to eat her up with kisses and hugs. Man that little girl is just too much to handle.

She apparently had a great time at Grandmas with Libby (who also stayed).

So all in all, it was a great weekend.

Thanks to Dad for paying for all our gas, and for the camping lot, and the swimming passes. And thanks to Mom for tending Bailey while we did this whole thing. I seriously have the greatest parents EVER period!
